Ralph McQuarrie Order Update #2

Well folks, I finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Orders placed on March 5th, 6th or 7th have been packed and will be shipping out. Orders placed March 8th or after will be packed by this weekend and will ship on Monday. I want to thank everyone for being patient. The amount of orders was overwhelming in such a short period of time but managed to get everything packed and out.

Ralph McQuarrie Orders Update #1

As you may not know, upon the news of Ralph's passing orders started piling in and was overwhelmed with the amount that started coming in. I'm doing my best to get everything packed and shipped. I am only one person processing everything. Your patience will be appreacited until I can get through all the orders.


Here is an update. All domestic orders placed on March 3 & 4 are shipping out Tuesday March 13th. International orders will follow the next day. Orders placed on March 5 and beyond are now being packed and will be updated tomorrow. 

Ralph McQuarrie Exhibit coming to Celebration 5

We have been very busy folks. Finishing the shipping of The Art of Tomb Raider and going right into getting the art exhibit ready for Celebration 5 has been a hand full to say the least. If you are going to Celebration 5 in Orlando we look forward to seeing you there. Here's a preview of what we have been working on.

STAR WARS: TALES FROM THE CLONE WARS UPDATE

Dreams and Visions Press and Dark Horse Comics are publishing the trade paperback edition of the first season web comics from Starwars.com, titled Star Wars: Tales from the Clone Wars.

This edition will be available at the Art of Tom Hodges booth in conjuction with Dreams and Visions Press at Celebration V this August and then at StarWarsShop.com and Dreams and Visions Press after the event. It includes the entire run of Season One webcomics -- written by Pablo Hidalgo and illustrated by Jeff Carlisle, Katie Cook, Grant Gould and Tom Hodges, as well as the "gameisode" installments that tied into online Flash games following Season One. A bonus section features concept art and development sketches, as well as bonus art from all the artists. This special collected edition includes a foreword by Dave Filoni, supervising director of the television series.

New Items Posted

There are some new Ralph McQuarrie Items posted on the website. The Ark of the Covenant print is back, as well as a few "Signed" ones.

From ACME ARCHIVES is the the limited edition of 100 Boba Fett print that premiered at San Diego Comic Con 2009. We are offering A/P's from Ralph's personal inventory.

Last but not to say the least is Original Star Wars Portfolio prints that have been in storage for awhile because these have Ralph's full signature on them from around 1996-1998.

Dreams and Visions Press at Wondercon

We will be exhibiting at Wondercon in San Francisco next weekend, and invite you to stop by to say hello.

We'll be talking about our forthcoming Art of Tomb Raider, as well as selling copies of The Art of Ralph McQuarrie. We have pulled the last remaining copies of the book from the warehouse, including some slightly worn scratch and dent copies that will be offered at a discount of the original retail prices of the book. These include some of the last copies hand signed by Ralph McQuarrie.

In addition, we will have copies of the Japanese exclusive Star Wars: The Art of Ralph McQuarrie, and for the first time offering an electronic file with an English translation of the text for those of you unable to read Japanese (or enjoy it just for the beautiful illustrations). Don't worry - if you've purchased the book already, you'll be able to get a copy of the file from us after the show.

Finally, we will have copies of the Ralph McQuarrie: Illustrator DVD, as well as the Caroline Munro: First Lady of Fantasy DVD (including a limited number of the signed limited edition).
